Is it normal to have a low body temperature during ovulation?

Some people may experience symptoms of low body temperature during ovulation. Is this normal? Here are some possible reasons:

1. Changes in hormone levels in the body: During the ovulation period, a woman’s ovaries will secrete a large number of eggs, and the hormone levels in the body will change, causing the body temperature to drop. This change is normal and contributes to a woman's monthly menstrual cycle.

2. Measurement of basal body temperature: Some people may monitor their body temperature changes by measuring basal body temperature. Basal body temperature refers to the body temperature measured when you wake up in the morning without exercising or eating. During ovulation, basal body temperature will suddenly drop, which is normal.

3. Individual differences: Everyone's body temperature changes are different. Some people may feel symptoms of hypothermia during ovulation, while others will not. This may be the result of individual differences or changes in body temperature caused by other factors.

Although a low body temperature during ovulation may feel uncomfortable, it is a normal physiological phenomenon. If you feel unwell, consult your doctor to determine any possible problems.
