How to know ovulation after giving birth

Generally speaking, the ovulation period for women during lactation begins on the 14th day after delivery. Around this day, a woman's egg matures and is released, forming a fertilized egg. If women fertilize during this time, their milk production may increase and be of better quality.

Women can find out when they are ovulating by:

1. Observe your own symptoms: During ovulation, women may feel breast tenderness, nipple pain, increased sexual desire, etc. These symptoms may appear within a day and may last for several days.

2. Use a thermometer: Women can know their ovulation period by measuring their body temperature. During ovulation, a woman's body temperature may rise by 0.5 to 1 degree Celsius.

3. Watch your period: If women have their period while breastfeeding, they know their safe periods. During the safe period, the woman's egg has been released and therefore will not be fertilized, but if fertilization occurs outside the safe period, the woman's breast milk production may increase.

4. Use a calendar: Women can use a calendar to record their safe periods and ovulation periods. Marking women's safe periods and ovulation periods on their calendar can help them breastfeed better.

Women can use the above methods to understand their ovulation period and breastfeed better. If a woman has any questions while breastfeeding, it is recommended to consult a doctor or nutritionist.
