When does the ovulation test start?

1. Determine your cycle: Knowing your cycle can help you determine when you are ovulating. Typically, there are two main days in a woman's cycle: the fertile period and the dangerous period. The fertile period is from day 14 to day 19 of the cycle, while the dangerous period is from day 20 to day 26 of the cycle.

2. Record basal body temperature: Measuring basal body temperature is a method of measuring the fertile period. Each morning when you wake up, take your oral or anal body temperature and record it on a chart. The records are plotted as a curve to show changes in fertile and dangerous periods.

3. Use ovulation test strips: Ovulation test strips are a way to measure your fertile period. They are inserted into the vagina and tested during the expected fertile period. Typically, an egg is released within 24 hours before test results.

4. Have a B-ultrasound examination: If you want to more accurately determine the fertile and dangerous periods, you can have a B-ultrasound examination. Doctors can measure your temperature and observe changes in your ovaries and uterus to determine when you are fertile.

Whichever method you choose, remember that it is important to monitor your fertile periods. If you are planning to become pregnant, you can increase your chances of getting pregnant during your fertile period. If you take medications or have a chronic medical condition, talk to your doctor about monitoring your fertile days.
