Ovulation period of carp

Ovulation in carp usually occurs when their weight reaches around 100 grams. At this time, they will start to feel hungry and will look for food. Generally, they eat small aquatic plants and insects.

On the second day of the ovulation period, carp will begin to lay eggs. They usually lay their eggs in places with clear water and moderate temperatures. While laying eggs, they also lay their eggs in the water. Under normal circumstances, each carp will lay about 30 to 50 eggs.

It takes approximately 28 days for the eggs to hatch. When hatched, the carp eggs will hatch into baby carp. These small carp usually swim in the water in search of food. They will also gradually grow into larger fish.
