What color is ovulation bleeding?

During ovulation, a woman’s egg is released from the ovary and travels into the fallopian tube to await fertilization. During this process, a woman's uterus contracts to help move the egg into the fallopian tube. However, the process of uterine contractions and the release of eggs from the ovaries causes increased vascular permeability, which can cause blood to drain out of the vagina.

Under normal circumstances, the color of bleeding during ovulation is bright red or light red, in the shape of drops, and the amount is not large. Some people may experience pain or discomfort, but usually, this bleeding is mild.

If a woman's bleeding increases in frequency or amount during ovulation, or if the bleeding lasts longer, it may be considered abnormal bleeding. In such cases, women are advised to consult a doctor to determine the cause of the bleeding and get appropriate treatment.
