What are the symptoms of ovulation?
1. Increase in body temperature
During ovulation, a woman's body temperature will rise by 0.5 to 1 degree Celsius. This increase in body temperature usually lasts for a few days until a woman's period begins. This phenomenon is called an increase in basal body temperature.
2. Changes in appetite
During ovulation, a woman's appetite may change and she may feel hungrier and crave high-calorie foods. This is because women's hormone levels change, causing the body to require more energy to support fertility.
3. Increased sexual desire
During ovulation, a woman's sexual desire may increase. This is because a woman's hormone levels change, making her body more susceptible to sexual stimulation.
4. Uncomfortable symptoms
In addition to increased body temperature and changes in appetite, women may also experience some uncomfortable symptoms during ovulation, such as dizziness, fatigue, headache, breast distension, and nipple pain. These symptoms usually become more pronounced after a woman reaches ovulation.
5. Increase in transparent liquid
During ovulation, a woman's body may experience an increase in clear fluid. This clear fluid, often called mucus, is produced by a woman's immune system. Mucus helps women better attract men and promotes fertilization.
Not every woman will experience these symptoms, and they may not be an accurate predictor of whether a woman is ovulating. Therefore, if a woman is not sure whether she is ovulating, it is best to consult her doctor to confirm.
