Ovarian cysts are common during ovulation

How do cysts form?

Cysts are usually made of fluid and gas. In a woman's reproductive tract, the ovaries and fallopian tubes contain fluid and gas. When the eggs mature, they move into the fallopian tubes, where they are fertilized. However, if the eggs in the fallopian tube are fertilized, they will form vesicles. These vesicles expand when surrounded by fluid and gas, eventually forming cysts.
