Having sex during ovulation with urinary tract infection

Urinary tract infection is a common disease that is usually caused by bacterial infection of a woman's reproductive organs. Ways of contracting germs may include sexual behavior, vaginal medication, contact with infected items, etc. During ovulation, a woman’s reproductive organs undergo an important physiological change, which is the release of an egg. However, for some women, this process may be accompanied by a urinary tract infection. If you have a urinary tract infection during ovulation but still have sex, this may aggravate your condition.

If you develop a urinary tract infection during ovulation, you should get treatment as soon as possible. Treatments for urinary tract infections include medications and surgery. Medical treatment eliminates the infecting germs by taking antibiotics, while surgical treatment prevents the infection from recurring by removing the infected area.

You should avoid having sex while receiving treatment. This is because sexual activity may increase the risk of infection and may cause bacteria to spread to other areas. Additionally, you should avoid contact with infected items to avoid reinfection.
