Why does lower abdomen hurt during ovulation?

The causes of abdominal pain during ovulation may be multifaceted. One possible reason is that with the onset of a woman's menstrual cycle, hormonal levels in the body change, causing intestinal contraction and peristalsis, causing lower abdominal pain. This kind of contraction and peristalsis is a normal physiological phenomenon and will not have much impact on the body.

Another possible reason is that lower abdominal pain during ovulation is caused by the release of eggs from the ovaries. When an egg is released from the ovary, it causes strong contraction of the tissue surrounding the ovary, causing lower abdominal pain. This phenomenon is called ovarian constriction and is also a normal physiological phenomenon.

In addition, some women may experience diarrhea, low back pain and other symptoms along with lower abdominal pain during ovulation. These symptoms may be caused by changes in hormonal levels during ovulation rather than lower abdominal pain itself.
